GEORGE NEWS - The Garden Route Dam level is currently at 42.02%.
18,5 mm rainfall has been recorded by the George Municipality over the past week.
Rainfall is expected to clear by Friday.
More rain is predicted for this afternoon and for tomorrow, Thursday 17 August.
Water restrictions
Emergency tariffs and tougher water restrictions came into effect 2 August after the dam level dropped to below 45%.
The new Section 2C restrictions limit household consumption to 15 kilolitres per month or 480 litres per day (120 litres per person in an average household of four).
