GEORGE NEWS - Are you moving, downsizing or spring cleaning? The Garden Route SPCA (GRSPCA) charity shop in York Street Mall is always in need of your unwanted items, books and clothes to stock their shop. These items are sold and all proceeds go towards looking after the animals in their care.
"Our charity shops operate through the donation of good secondhand items that we resell at bargain prices," says GRSPCA head inspector, Salomé Bruyns.
"Please think of us before discarding unwanted items such as clothing, utensils, appliances, tools, curtains, bedding or any unwanted items."
Donations to the charity shops enable them to raise much-needed funds for the animals in their care. Items can be dropped off at the shop in York Mall.
Alternatively, contact Rika Bouwer on 082 308 6862 to arrange for collection. Items offered for donation should be in a decent and working order.
Books and other items that are in tact and in working order are always welcome at the SPCA's charity shop in the York Mall.
