GEORGE NEWS & VIDEO - It was a lucky Friday the 13th for a Thembalethu cow that found herself stuck in an empty grave last week.
A team of rescue workers managed to get her to safety within minutes with the help of a digger loader.
According to Garden Route SPCA head inspector, Salomé Bruyns, they received the call on Friday afternoon. She and inspector André Baartman arrived on scene at approximately 14:00.
"The poor cow was stuck in an empty grave at the back of Thembalethu, but with the assistance of the George Fire Brigade and Gee Swart of Emergency Disaster Response, we managed to get the cow to safety in no time," said Bruyns.
