GEORGE NEWS - "Anything but a bag day" is a very popular fundraiser in schools where learners compete to come up with the most creative alternative container for their school books.
Gracehill College's students came to school with the most amazing "bags" on Monday 28 February, including a waiter's drinks trolley, the grass container of a lawnmower, cat boxes and recycled inventions.
In the junior boys category, Sion Neuhoff and Luke Allpass tied for first place, while Max Hurt was the senior boys winner.
The junior girls winner was Mila Cloete and the senior girls first place went to Cheninke van Heerden.
