GEORGE NEWS - George residents are invited to attend a special imbizo (community meeting) with Advocate Lennit Max, special advisor to the national minister of police, General Bheki Cele, from 18:30 on Thursday 20 September, in the Blanco community hall.

The intention is to meet with the respective station commanders and community policing forum (CPF) representatives, members of the community, faith-based institutions, businesses and local police members and neighbourhood watch representatives in the George policing precinct.

The aim of the meeting is to address community concerns and to promote community participation in the fight against crime.

This is in line with the commitment of Cele contained in his speech at the National Summit on Crime and Violence Prevention on 13 September.
