GEORGE NEWS - The case against a 49-year-old man from George accused of the rape of three minor girls has progressed to a pre-trial conference in the Mossel Bay Regional Court.
The accused is expected to appear in court again on Wednesday 22 April.
It remains unclear whether the trial will commence on that date.
Due to the nature of the charges, the identity of the accused cannot be disclosed.
The alleged incidents are believed to have taken place in the Great Brak River area in 2021, when the victims were between the ages of 13 and 15.
The man was arrested in 2023 and was subsequently denied bail during an earlier court appearance.
He has remained in police custody since.
