GEORGE NEWS - An on-duty police officer who works at the George Court was arrested earlier today, Monday 24 March, after he was allegedly smuggling drugs into the building.
It is believed that the drugs were intended for one or more of the detainees who appeared in court today.
He is yet to appear in court after his arrest.
A media enquiry has been sent to the police for comment. We are awaiting their response.
