GEORGE NEWS - George detectives are piecing together the details of a burglary that took place on Saturday 8 February at a Chinese shop in York Street.
The shop owner locked up at around 16:00, but at 21:25, security personnel had to respond to an alarm.
They found that someone had forcefully entered the premises, leaving a damaged door.
Eight replica firearms that were possibly earmarked for future criminal endeavours were stolen from the shop.
One suspect has been arrested and will make his first court appearance in George later this week.
Most of the stolen items have been recovered.
