GEORGE NEWS – A case of arson has been opened after a house in Mara Crescent, Blanco, was set on fire at around 03:00 this morning, Friday 28 February.
Fortunately, no one was injured, but the victims - a father and his adult daughter - lost all their belongings, including their cell phones and identity documents.
No arrests have been made.
According to information gathered on the scene this morning, the father's vehicle that was parked at a neighbour's house down the road was also set alight by the same person.
A media enquiry has been sent to George Municipality regarding the incident and information on where donations for the family can be dropped off. We are awaiting their response.

The father's Ford Ecosport was also set on fire.
