BUSINESS NEWS - A celebration for the entire Garden Route – Mossel Bay, Oudtshoorn, Knysna, Plettenberg Bay and Riversdale, this one’s for you too!
The George Festival 2025 has officially been launched — and the Garden Route is gearing up for four unforgettable days of culture, art, sport and community celebration from 13 to 16 December.
Unveiled at a vibrant event hosted at the George Museum, the festival promises to transform George into a hub of creativity and excitement.
Presented by the George Municipality in partnership with the Western Cape Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS), this year’s festival embraces the theme: Culture. Art. Sport. Our community. Our celebration.
Executive Mayor Alderman Jackie von Brandis described the festival as a showcase of George’s heart and spirit, while MEC Ricardo Mackenzie highlighted the festival’s role in creating unity, opportunity and community pride. The programme reveal, live performances and sponsor recognitions signalled the beginning of what will be one of the region’s most anticipated annual events.
A Festival Powered by Partnership
Thanks to generous sponsor support and regional collaboration, George Festival 2025 promises world-class experiences for residents and visitors.
Key contributors include MTN, Heineken Beverages, SportPesa, Knox Hydrate, SCAVA, ATKV, MTB Hillbillies, George Trails (GTR), Home of Golf Africa, GJMA, George Naturally, the Garden Route Botanical Garden Trust, the Eden Sport Council, and the Garden Route District Municipality.
