GEORGE BUSINESS NEWS - Akeso George has been completely revamped and has extended its premises to provide a world-class facility for the treatment of people suffering from psychiatric issues.
During the recent open day, friendly and professional personnel were on hand to show visitors around. Separate resident quarters have been created for adults and adolescents (girls and boys are separate) and there are also facilities to accommodate 10 to 12-year-olds.
There are 20 beds for children / adolescents and 15 for adults. The bright art room, cosy therapy rooms and modern kitchen and dining room facilities form part of the impressive all-new look.
Akeso George offers specialist inpatient treatment for a range of psychiatric illnesses that may include anxiety disorders, depression, post-traumatic stress disorders, behavioural disorders, substance abuse, addiction and more.
"Our hospital aims to provide a safe and comfortable environment where patients can recover and regain their sense of security and self, under the expert care of specialists in both physical and mental health," said Belinda Campher, hospital manager and head of the Cope therapeutic team.
