BUSINESS NEWS - On 8 March, under the blazing South African sun, Genius Academy hosted its much-anticipated athletics day at Carpe Diem. Learners from Grade RRR to Grade 7 took to the track with excitement, participating in thrilling sprint races that showcased their determination and enthusiasm.
The event brought together young athletes from several schools, including Klouterwoud, Sonskynland, Mountview, Country House School, Heeltyd Speeltyd, Little Champs and Curro. Despite the heat, the energy never wavered.
The youngest participants, from Grade RRR to Grade 1, delighted the crowd with their enthusiastic sprints, while the older learners gave their all in fiercely contested races. The cheers from the sidelines were deafening as parents, teachers and fellow students encouraged every runner, no matter their placement.
Beyond the races, the event fostered a true sense of community. Learners from different schools were able to meet each other, teachers collaborated to create a seamless day, and parents came together in support of all the children. The spirit of unity and sportsmanship was undeniable, making the day not just about competition but about connection.
