GEORGE NEWS - Restoration work on the Western Bypass 1000mm diameter pipeline is currently being finalised. Residents are advised of the following updates regarding water supply and reservoir levels:
- Uniondale – The reservoir is expected to be reopened at 3:00 PM this afternoon. A water truck is roaming the Lyonville and Midtown areas to assist residents.
- Wilderness Heights – The extended power outage has caused reservoir levels to drop rapidly, and they are now critically low.
- Blanco – ESKOM Reservoir – The extended power outage has caused reservoir levels to drop rapidly, and they are now critically low.
Residents are urged to use water sparingly until power is restored and normal pumping operations can resume.
