GEORGE NEWS - The backlog of normal domestic refuse removal from Wednesday, 6 May, will be attended to on Saturday, 9 May.
Business refuse will be collected tomorrow, Friday, 8 May.
The green bag collection backlog from Wednesday, 6 May and Thursday, 7 May, will be collected together with the normal green bag collection next week.
Distribution of black bags will resume once weather conditions permit.
No refuse collection in rural areas today
Today’s refuse collection in Geelhoutboom Farms, Sinksabrug, Walkom Farm, Jonkersberg, Strawberry Farms, and Groeneweide Farms could not proceed because gravel roads are inaccessible to refuse collection trucks due to severe rainfall.
Refuse collection in these areas will resume tomorrow, weather permitting.
