GEORGE NEWS - There is a planned water outage on Monday, 20 April from 09:00 to 16:30 for repairing a leak on the mainline at R102 next to Marshmallow Garden Cafe.
Consumers are warned to treat the installation as being live for the full duration, as the supply may be resumed at any time within the notified period. No water may also be experienced during this period.
Services disruption
During the construction period, there may be temporary disruptions to municipal water services in the surrounding areas.
The municipality will make every effort to notify residents and businesses in advance of any scheduled interruptions via its official social media channels, website, and other communication platforms.
Additionally, road users and pedestrians in R102 next to Marshmallow Garden Cafe and adjacent areas are advised to exercise caution and be mindful of construction activities.
Water outage period
As part of the construction in R102 next to Marshmallow Garden Cafe a scheduled water outage will take place to facilitate essential construction work.
In the event of any unforeseen circumstances that delay the planned work, the water outage will be rescheduled to Tuesday, 21 April from 09:00 – 16:30.
