GEORGE NEWS - There is a planned water outage on Tuesday 3 February from 09:00 to 16:00 for the connection of a bulk water meter at Airport Industrial.
Consumers are warned to treat the installation as being live for the full duration, as the supply may be resumed at any time within the notified period.
Low water pressure may also be experienced during this period.
Services disruption
During the construction period, there may be temporary disruptions to municipal water services in the surrounding areas.
The municipality will make every effort to notify residents and businesses in advance of any scheduled interruptions via its official social media channels, website and other communication platforms.
Additionally, road users and pedestrians at the Airport and adjacent areas are advised to exercise caution and be mindful of construction activities.
Water outage period
As part of the bulk water meter connection at George Airport, a scheduled water outage will take place to facilitate essential construction work.
The following areas will be affected: Airport, Oubaai, Herold's Bay and adjacent areas.
Alternative date
In the event of any unforeseen circumstances that delay the planned work, the water outage will be rescheduled to Wednesday 4 February from 09:00 to 16:00.
