Is it my imagination or has the new acting municipal manager breathed new energy into George Municipality?
It all started on 15 January 2021 with a comprehensive WhatsApp, listing contacts for every single municipal service - from vehicle licensing to water leaks and broken street lights.
Covid-fatigued officials started perking up. The efficient ones remained on the ball while the less efficient ones shook off the cobwebs. Municipal phones are now being answered.
Accurate information is being dispensed. Streets are being tarred all over town.
