Ongeveer 150 atlete het aan die jaarlikse Mountain Of The Star 'Gravel Travel'-veldwedloop op Braaidag deelgeneem. Die atlete het om 07:00 by Outeniquapark op die 17 km-roete weggespring. Die 12 km-deelnemers het om 07:15 gevolg. Die roete moes weens die nat weer en gevolglike gladde oppervlakte verkort word.
