Cairo to Cape and back
Moeilik op plekke, maar asemrowend mooi. Dit was die boodskap van verskeie deelnemers aan Saterdag 23 Oktober se Cairo to Cape and back-geleentheid. Dit het op die plaas waar die bekende Kaart van Afrika geleë is, plaasgevind. Deelnemers het in twee wedlope, 21 km of 8 km gehardloop. Altesaam 375 atlete het deelgeneem - 180 atlete aan die 21 km en 195 aan die 8 km. Die jongste deelnemer was 10 jaar oud en die oudste 73 jaar. Benewens atlete van die streek, was daar ook deelnemers van Pretoria, Kaapstad en Port Elizabeth.
