George-atlete pronk by jeugkampioenskappe
Meike Strydom, een van die blinkste diamante aan die atletiekhorison, het die afgelope naweek goud gewen vir Suid-Afrika by die Sentraal-Afrika (CAA) se junior en jeugkampioenskappe in Boksburg. Sy het die gewigstoot vir junior vroue met 'n afstand van 15,19 m ingepalm. Dit is 'n uitsonderlike eer vir haar land, ASWD, George en Hoërskool Outeniqua, waar sy 'n gr. 12-leerder is.
