A splash of colour is making a big difference at the George Night Shelter, where newly painted murals are doing far more than brightening walls - it creates a sense of belonging for those who call the shelter home. The project was initiated by Rotary George member Michael Addinall, who serves on the shelter's board. "It gives a sense of pride and fellowship," said Addinal during a visit to the shelter last Thursday 2 July. Fourie Ackerman, an artist from Fremersheim, was commissioned to paint the murals. In all likelihood, it will be finished within the next two weeks.
