ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - The Hovering, a multidisciplinary collaboration between Petronel Baard and Louisa Punt-Fouché, comes to the Market Community Theatre on 24 October.
The production weaves together live performance, visual art and poetry in an immersive experience that also marks the launch of Punt-Fouché's latest book, Breathing with the Earth, and a brand-new album featuring her poetry set to Baard's original compositions.
Baard, joined by Franco Engelbrecht (piano, orchestra leader), Johan Engelbrecht (percussion, guitar, violin) and Lelanè van der Merwe (cello, violin) gives voice to Punt-Fouché's words through music that hovers between memory and renewal.
The evening also features Punt-Fouché's art installation, An Unveiling of Many-voiced Blue Landscapes - a visual meditation on ecology, consciousness and transformation.
The Hovering is described as more than just a concert or exhibition, but a living presence that nurtures new beginnings.

The installation opens at 18:00, and the live show starts at 19:00. The art installation is done by Rene Scribante, transforming the Market Community Theatre into an artwork in itself. Alta Scott of Deur die Blare Floral Art will be adding her unique touch with an installation of floral screens covering the theatre's shutters.
