GEORGE ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - Last weekend's staging of In the Silence at the Market Community Theatre delivered a strong contemporary dance performance by the local BradWell Dance Collective and Rebirth Dance Company from Worcester.
The production unfolded in two contrasting but connected parts, exploring themes of identity, trauma and the human mind.
The Rebirth Dance Company opened with "After the Quiet", a portrayal of a character named Rose, a survivor of abuse, dealing with the aftermath of her escape.

Through expressive movement, the dancers showed both the fragility and strength of a woman finding her voice, presenting a story that was unsettling yet compelling.
In the second half, the BradWell Dance Collective presented "Between the Noise", which focused on the tension between digital distraction and inner conflict.
Starting with some dancers absorbed in their phones, the piece produced a powerful take on vulnerability as the devices were removed, revealing the emotional chaos beneath controlled identities.
Together, the performances created an engaging experience that connected well with the audience.
