ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - The Garden Route Botanical Garden will come alive with the sound of music as the Carpe Musicam! Pops Band presents their “Christmas in the Garden” concert on Friday 5 December.

This open-air performance has become a favourite on George’s festive calendar, offering an evening of Christmas classics, carols, and light-hearted orchestral pieces set against the tranquil backdrop of the Garden’s Gazebo.

Visitors can expect a relaxed summer atmosphere, with food stalls opening from 17:30 and the concert beginning at 18:30. 

Guests are welcome to bring chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets to enjoy the evening comfortably. In case of rain or severe bad weather, this performance will move to the Glenwood House School Hall.

Tickets are R100 online and R120 at the gate for adults, R40 online and R50 at the gate for scholars, and children under six enter free.

All proceeds from the concert will go towards the ongoing upkeep and improvement of the Garden, helping to support conservation and community access.
