GEORGE NEWS - World-renowned ocean adventurer and big-wave surfer Chris Bertish is bringing his Super Stoked! roadshow to the Garden Route this weekend, where he will officially launch his new book, Super Stoked!, at the Fairy Knowe Hotel in Wilderness on Sunday 23 November.
Bertish, a Mavericks Big Wave Invitational champion and the first person in history to paddle solo and unsupported across the Atlantic Ocean, is known globally for redefining human limits.
His record-breaking 93-day, 7 500km trans-Atlantic stand-up paddle crossing raised millions for charity and cemented his legacy as one of South Africa’s most inspirational adventurers.
He continues to push boundaries, with recent ocean expeditions powered only by wind and solar energy, all tied to his mission of driving positive change for people and the planet.
His Super Stoked! Roadshow is an energy-filled, multimedia experience featuring powerful videos, gripping stories, a Q&A session, photographs, and a book-signing opportunity.
Sunday’s Wilderness event marks the official local launch of Super Stoked!, a book that captures Bertish’s trademark blend of adventure, resilience, purpose-driven living, and unshakable belief in achieving the “impossible.”
Members of the public are invited to attend and experience an evening of motivation and storytelling from one of South Africa’s most accomplished ocean explorers.
“Come and be inspired,” Bertish says. And if his past events are anything to go by, the Wilderness crowd can expect exactly that.
Bertish will launch his book at the Fairy Knowe Hotel this Sunday.
