GEORGE NEWS On Thursday 23 May, Carpe Diem School hosted the Voices Unite choir celebration, a beautiful evening of music and unity to raise funds for the school's recovery from the devastating fire at the school on 6 February.
Hearts were warmed by the incredible performances by the Carpe Diem School Marimba Band and Carpe Deo Choir, Mountview Primary School's choir, the George Male Choir, and the Neuer Kammerchor Heidenheim from Germany.
The harmonic sounds and heartfelt melodies created an unforgettable atmosphere of community and support.
Carpe Diem principal Elzeth Grobler expressed the school's gratitude: "We deeply appreciate everyone who attended and contributed to this special night.
"Your presence and generosity mean the world to us as we rebuild and move forward. Thank you for being a part of our journey.
"Voices Unite was an initiative of Di Kershaw and the George Rotary Club and we owe them a special thank you for their efforts."
The George Male Choir was, as always, superb.
Mountview Primary's little ones warmed the hearts of the audience.
The Carpe Diem School Marimba Band impressed with their performance.
The audience thoroughly enjoyed the excellent performance of the special guest choir, Neuer Kammerchor Heidenheim from Germany.
