Western Cape adds new teacher posts
15:37 (GMT+2), Wed, 08 August 2012
WESTERN CAPE NEWS - At least 154 additional teaching posts have been allocated to schools in the Western Cape, the province's education MEC Donald Grant said on Wednesday.

"These additional posts will bring the total basket of teaching posts to 31,091," he said in a statement.

"This will enable schools to plan and budget accordingly for the 2013 school year."

The process was done together with school governing body associations and teacher unions.

Most of the posts were allocated to the foundation phase and special needs education.
