What a dash!.

SOUTHERN CAPE NEWS - The popular Tramonto Wedding Run and 8km Trail Run will again be taking place on Saturday 18 August when brides to be and brides of yester year will pull up the dresses and show thier skills.

The venue is at the Tramonto Wedding Venue on the Geelhoutboom road. The directions are through Blanco on the Airport road and turn off at the Redberry Farm.

The Tramonto Wedding Run takes place with the NLR Wine trade show with plenty of food stalls and wine tasting. Local bands will entertain the runners with thier music. The Four-nation rugby between South Africa and Argentina will be shown on the big screen at 17:00.

All the brides (and to be) and men that think that they can run like a woman are welcome to enter for the Wedding Dash at 11:00. The entry is free and all you need to wear is a wedding gown or wedding attire. There are great prizes up for grabs and weekends away.

There is also a kids run at 11:20 over 400 meters.

The starting times are: 21.1km - 07:00; 10km - 09:00; 5km - 09:05; 1km Wedding Dash - 11:00 and 8km trail run at 15:00.
Entry fees to the races are: 21.1km - R45 and unlicensed R70; 10km - R35 and unlicensed R60; 5km - R20; 1km Wedding Dash is free; 8km trail run - R40 and late entry R60. All runners need to pay a R20 entry fee and gets a goody bag plus wine glass for wine tasting.

The first 150 runners in the 21.1km and 200 runners on the 10km will receive very special crafted medals and the first 150 in the 5km. The 8km trail run is limited to the first 150 entries. There are also great prizes for the winners in the different categories and many lucky draws.

Online entries are extended till 16 August till 11:00 and can enter on www.onlines.co.za. Runners can also enter at Tekkie Town (Garden Route Mall, Langeberg Mall, Oudtshoorn and Knysna) until 16 August at 11:00.

There will be no race day entries for the 21.1km and 10km. The 5km and 1km dash can enter on race day. The 8km trail run can also enter on race day, but is limited to 150 entries and only pre-entry can guarantee entry to the run.
Runners who have entered can register from 06:00 at Tramonto Wedding Venue.
