INTERNATIONAL NEWS - Rowers may just be home and dry once showers are to hit the London Olympics by midday Thursday, while the women's archery and men's shooting competitions could be wet ones.
The Met Office said that showers - at times with thunder - were to develop from the west and reach London by midday or early afternoon, with sunny spells still possible in between as the unsettled weather continues. Temperatures were to reach 23 degrees Celsius.
While rowing at Eton Dorney was scheduled for the morning, the canoe slaloms at the Lee Valley White Water Centre, archery at the Lord's Cricket Ground and the shooting double trap final at the Royal Artillery Barracks are later and could be affected by the weather.
The day's 11 other medal events will be held indoors.
