Germiston man arrested for drugs

NATIONAL NEWS - A man was arrested in Germiston, on the East Rand, on Tuesday for possession of the drug "Cat", worth an estimated R6500 on the street, police said.
Inspector Kobeli Mokheseng said officers were patrolling in Lambton when they saw a car driving slowly by.
Police stopped the vehicle, searched it and found 42 packets of Cat hidden in the fuse box. Cat is the amphetamine-type drug methcathinone, which can be sniffed, smoked or injected.
The police arrested the 28-year-old man driving the car. He had been charged with possession of illegal substance, and would be investigated for dealing in drugs, said Mokheseng.
He said the man was expected to appear soon in the Germiston Magistrate's Court.
