GEORGE NEWS - Food lovers from across the country gathered at the Waterside Grill at the Hyatt Regency Oubaai on Saturday evening, for the annual induction ceremony of the Bailliage de l'Outeniqua, Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.
National Bailli, Francois Ferreira held sway over what turned out to be a wonderful evening with great wine and exquisite cuisine. The General Manager of the Hyatt Regency Oubaai, Jaco le Roux, became a Chef de Table (head of the table) and is now one of 350 members of the Chaîne in South Africa.
Executive Chef, Markus Linder and his team treated the guests and inductees to a five-course meal that included scallop carpaccio, risotto with black pudding and foie gras foam, roasted pear sorbet, ox cheeks and four fantastic desserts.
