Report noise: new emergency number

GEORGE NEWS FLASH - Residents in George struggling to get some peace and quiet from noisy night clubs in town can now lodge their complaints at the George Municipality's emergency numbers, 044 801 6300 or 0860 044 044.
Residents are requested to supply their address in order that the grievances can be followed up. All calls received will be dealt with confidentially.
Upon receiving a complaint, law enforcement officials from the municipality will visit the complainant's home to measure the noise levels and also visit the source of the noise; further action will be taken if any bylaws have been broken.
