DCS awards sportsmen and sportswomen tomorrow night

SOUTHERN CAPE NEWS - The Area Commissioner for Correctional Services in the Southern Cape, Mrs. Ndileka Booi, is to acknowledge the sporting achievements of the region's men and women who have excelled in various sports as part of the wellness strategy for employees in the Department of Correctional Services.

The members will be honoured during a prestigious black tie event, which will be hosted in the George Civic Centre tonight.
Members will be recognised for their achievements in endurance walking, biathlon, fresh water angling, rock and surf angling, darts, rugby, soccer, handball and in the choir.

The event will be attended by various dignitaries including the mayors of the surrounding towns within the Southern Cape, the newly appointed regional commissioner for the Western Cape, Commissioner Delekile Klaas, the area commissioners of all the management areas in the Western Cape, as well as local prominent sport administrators, chairpersons and referees.
