Workshop meeting for Alzheimer’s carers

GEORGE NEWS - The George Alzheimer's Support Group is to have Jennifer Howorth - a qualified trainer from Alzheimer's South Africa - as keynote speaker at a workshop meeting, to be held on Wednesday 8 August from 09:00, at the Tuiniqua Centre, 13 Kerk Street, George.
At this meeting for carers and family members of Alzheimer's sufferers, it will be explained how to communicate with those suffering from dementia.
Other subjects to be discussed include Handling challenging behaviour and Motivation for the person with dementia.
The R30 cost of the workshop includes refreshments and a light lunch.
After lunch, stimulating activities for the sufferer during the four stages will be discussed.
