Super ladies show their mettle

The medal winners of Athletics SWD, pictured after the SA 10km Cham-pionships, are from left Esther Oosthuizen (Hartenbos Drawwers) Annatjie Botes (Nedbank RC) and Annemarie van der Westhuizen (Nedbank RC).

SOUTHERN CAPE NEWS - Athletics SWD sent a team of 25 athletes to participate at this year's SA 10km Championships in Kimberley, and it was the ladies in particular who showed their colours.

Annatjie Botes won a silver medal (43.42) and Annemarie van der Westhuizen a bronze (45.53). Both are from Nedbank Running Club, in the 50 - 59 age group. Esther Oosthuizen (Hartenbos Drawwers) won silver (48.43) in the 60 - 69 year category.

Zindile Ngeva (Nedbank Running Club) was SWD's first male athlete home with a time of 32.26.
