GEORGE NEWS - "The only thing in my mind was to save my mother."
Those were the heart rendering words of Babalwa Gladile (16) as she carried out the ruined remains of her family's possessions from their gutted house in Thembalethu yesterday morning.
The family's kitchen and Babalwa's room and contents were consumed in the flames that engulfed their modest three rooomed home on Wednesday night. This includes all Babalwa's grade 11 textbooks and school clothing.
Anyone who is able to donate furniture, beds, bedding, clothes (including a Thembalethu High School uniform for Babalwa), kitchen utensils and appliances should please contact Thembalethu High at 044 880 9180.
