9-year-old girl snatched and raped

GEORGE NEWS FLASH - A nine-year-old girl was snatched by an unknown man while playing with her friends in Tabata Street in Thembalethu on Sunday afternoon (13 May) at 14:00.

According to Captain Malcolm Pojie, the Southern Cape police spokesperson, the suspect took the little girl to the Allbrick Quarry grounds in Thembalethu where he allegedly raped her.

He left the girl there on her own and disappeared.

"She managed to find her way back home where she told her mom she was raped," said Pojie.
