Golf Tip: improve your rhythm
00:00 (GMT+2), Thu, 05 July 2012
GOLF NEWS - There are a number of ways to work on rhythm in the golf swing, here are a few tips which may well help you find the ‘glue’ to keep your swing in the groove.

• I like using the word smooth when I take the club away from the ball, it stops me snatching the club away triggering all the wrong muscles. Find a personal word that has the same effect and watch your drives improve.

• Call out ‘back’ when you get to the top of the Backswing and ‘hit’ when you make contact with the ball.

This exercise makes you aware of where your clubhead is in the swing and your rhythm will improve as a result.

Improve your rhythm and you will find an improved consistency in your ball striking and direction.

Keep it on the short stuff.
