Mom's breakfast in bed
12:54 (GMT+2), Mon, 07 May 2012
LIFESTYLE NEWS - It's Mother's Day on Sunday, 13 May.

Spoil Mom with a delicious omelette in bed!

Here's a step-by-step easy omelette receipe:

What you will need:

A frying pan (30cm)
Spatula
A tray with a plate and cutlery
A mug of tea or coffee or a glass of juice
Salt and pepper to tast

Ingredients

1 tablespoon margarine, butter or olive oil
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk (you can add some cream to make it even yummier)

For your omelette's filling you can use as many (or as few) of the following:

Grated cheese
Tomatoes cut into cubes or sliced
Diced onion and mushrooms (fry in separate pan before adding to omelette)
Sliced ham or diced bacon

Cooking instructions:
Break your eggs into a bowl and add the milk. Mix well.

Put your pan on the stove at a medium heat and add your margarine, butter or oil. When this melts, add your egg mixture
into the pan.

Wait for the mixture to cook for about two minutes before adding your choice of ingredients to one half of the pan (check your mixture by trying to lift some of the omelette with the spatula).

When your egg mixture has cooked through, use your spatula to flip the omelette closed (check your mixture is completely cooked by moving the spatula underneath the omelette and checking it does not stick to your pan). Ideally your omelette is a golden brown colour on the outside. Gently slide your omelette into your plate and serve.

What to do with the tray:
Decorate your tray with flowers from the garden, with drawings on a piece of paper, or with cards and presents.
Remember: it is the thought that counts!
