Schutz wins junior tournament

SOUTHERN CAPE NEWS - A fundraiser for Southern Cape Junior Golf together with a Southern Cape Junior Order of Merit Tournament was held at Simola Golf & Country Estate.

The tournament was well supported by various sponsors, and Junior Golf thanked them for their assistance.
The overall better-ball winner was father and son combination of Lance and Grant Chapman, who won a night at Simola with a round of golf included.

The individual winners were as follows:

A division (best gross): 1 Michael Schutz 76; 2 Caylum Boon 76 (c/o); 3 Jovan Rebula 78.
A division (best net): Hans Jurie Human 74.
B division (best gross): 1 Duncan Hamilton; 2 Jonugan Olifant.
B division (best net): Hugh Seton.

Under 12:

A & B division (best gross): Norman Seton 79.

Best stableford all divisions: 1 Grant Chapman 37 pts; 2 James Murray 34 pts.

The next tournament is on 13 May at Knysna: all juniors with an official handicap are welcome to play. Go to the website http://www.scgu.co.za/juniors/ to register.
