Maintain healthy kidneys with diet and exercise
11:23 (GMT+2), Mon, 23 April 2012
LIFESTYLE NEWS - The health of your kidneys, in addition to your general good health, depends on what you eat and drink every day.

Your diet should emphasise fruits, vegetables and grains, and limit salt and fat.

Drinking plenty of filtered water each day also promotes good kidney function.

Your kidneys will benefit if you maintain a healthful body weight.

Refraining from overeating and devoting about 30 minutes to exercise four or five times a week are two things that you can do to keep your weight under control.
