Kagiso man held for boiling water attack
NATIONAL NEWS - A man was arrested for allegedly pouring boiling water over his girlfriend in Kagiso on the West Rand, police said on Tuesday.

Warrant Officer Solomon Sibiya said the 36-year-old man arrived at the woman's house on Sunday with a kettle filled with boiling water.

"Without saying anything, the man poured the boiling water over the woman's face and body before he left the house."

She sustained serious injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital. Police arrested the man at Swaneville on Monday. He would appear in court soon, Sibiya said.
